Huge 70 inch LCD

11th September 2006

The new Panasonic 70 inch LCD TV is crazy big! Panasonic has developed the first 70-inch LCD TV to be made available in the consumer TV market. With its introduction in early 2007, Panasonic?s 70″ LCD TV will be able to compete head-to-head plasma and projection TV makers.

70 inch LCD
The new Panasonic 70 inch HD LCD TV isn?t just a big dumb LCD TV though. This LCD TV will be one of the most vivid and feature rich LCD?s available. The 70inch Panasonic LCD has amazing Full High Definition resolution with 1080 pixels, a 2000 to 1 contrast ratio, a 180-degree viewing angle, and an 8 millisecond response time. (that would be one bad ass computer monitor!) Not only that but the Panasonic 70 inch LCD TV has a 120Hz video signal, (compared to most conventional Full HD LCD panel which have a video signal of 60 Hz).

Executive Vice President Kim Sang-Soo of Samsung Electronics said, “Our new 70-inch LCD is not only significantly larger, but also sets a new benchmark of excellence in terms of video image reproduction, viewing angle and image quality. We’ve designed it to dramatically enhance the large screen LCD TV user’s viewing experience. “
