Samsung F500 phone supports DivX

Author: Julien  //  Category: Premium Gadgets and Cool Toys

The Samsung F500 “Ultra Video” is the “world’s first” handset with official DivX certification. The Samsung F500 (also know as the Samsung F500 Ultra Video or the SGH-F500) comes packed with tons of cool features for multimedia enthusiasts and will let you put all those DivX movies and TV shows onto your handset for portable handset viewing. Besides supporting DivX codec, the Samsung F500 also supports MPEG-4, H.264, WMV and AVI video formats. The Samsung F500 is the first phone to now support all the major video formats. The phone has a high resolution 2.4 inch screen that swivels to adjust the viewing angle (which also allows you to lay it on a flat surface and watch it without holding it in your hand). The F500 is dual faced with a screen and multimedia controls on one side, and a phone on the other. In addition it has a 2 Megapixel camera that even takes video. The phone comes with 400 megabytes of built in storage (way more than my Blackberry Pearl) and the F500 has a micro SD slot, allowing you to add an additional 2 gigs of storage space. As of right now the F500 is not going to be officially released in the US but I would look for it to show up on eBAY very soon! You can click here to try and Find the Samsung F500 on eBay!

Other features of the Samsung F500 are GSM/EDGE support on 900, 1800, and 1900MHz bands, and Bluetooth v1.2 w/ A2DP stereo headset. The F500 can play a variety of media files, including: MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC, and WMA audio. The F500 measures up at Read more…

Buy a video game character for only $400

Author: Julien  //  Category: Premium Comedy

Wow… what a deal! NOT

This isn’t exactly a “premium post” but I suppose you could say it fits into the “premium comedy” section! (BTW if you don’t think this is funny I would suggest that you’re a huge nerd. No offense)!
So… I was looking for a computer on Craigslist today and I came across an amazing post. Apparently you can buy and sell video game characters. Someone is offering to sell his character from the “World of Warcraft” game for $400. Mind you this is not a video game for sale but rather a character that someone has created. He is selling “a Level 70 Human Rogue on the Alliance side of the PVP server Baelgun” (whatever that means)
More importantly it states that the character is transferable with 60 days of play time and the seller states that he expects to get multiple offers because this is a good deal. (Just a thought, but for $400 couldn’t you go to “Dave and Busters Restaurant” every weekend for 60 days and get an unlimited arcade game card, 5 or 6 beers, some food, a little bit of human interaction and the remote possibility of maybe even meeting (or at least talking to) a girl? Just a thought.

Anyway, it seems to me that for $400 your average gamer would probably buy an XBox 360 or a PS3. What I want to know is, who is spending $400 on a video game character (and please don?t tell me that it?s because the character has high ratings, lots of power or even super awesome looks)? Seriously I need help understanding this!

Side note: If this is for real I might consider getting into the videogame nerd business. Can anyone advise we on weather or not this is as good a deal as the seller states? If so I might have to post this incredible investment opportunity to the “premium investments” section of my blog.

Anyway here is a direct quote from the post and a link to the original post:
link to the original post if it is still up on Craigslist

“His Ret weapon is The Oathkeeper

His Healing weapon is Mogor’s Anointing Club
The Shield for the Club is Draenei Honor Guard Shield

He has +650 to healing with his healing gear and +500 with out the club and shield
He also has 300+ to damage

He is 260/300 Blacksmithing and 130/150 Jewelcrafting

He has over 100 Gold

Armor is:

Lawbringer Gauntlets
Judgement Legplates
Heavenly Inspiration
Shamanistic Helmet of Second Sight
Vengeance of the Illidari
Brooch of Hightened Potential
Burning Blade Cultist Band
Sage’s Band
Lawbringer Boots
Light-Touched Breastplate
Fairweather’s Wristguards
Avenger’s Waistguard
Spell-slinger’s Protector
Lawbringer Spaulders”

So for all you World of Warcraft gamers… what were you most impressed with? Was it the “Light-Touched Breastplate” or the “300+ gold?”
For me, I would have to say it was the “Heavenly Inspiration” that really blew me away!

Update: OMG I just had a heavenly inspiration of my own! I was inspired to never EVER play World of Warcraft!

Free 411 calls from Google

Author: Julien  //  Category: Premium Fun and Entertainment, Premium Gadgets and Cool Toys, Premium resources

I just wanted to share an awesome Google creation I just came accross… It’s Google 411 and it lets you call toll free from any phone to get local business listings. Previously I had been using traditional 411 or 1-800-SanDiego as a free 411 service but the new google 411 is 1000% better. Not only do you get your answers instantly with no advertisements, but it will also connect you for free (or even text message you the information for free)! Now you can find what you are looking for instantly! To try out Google’s new 411 service just dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411) from any phone.

Here are some tips for using Google 411:
1) When you are asked for city and state, you can say city and state or you can simply say (or type) the zip code.
2) When you are asked the business name or category you can say the specific name or be general. EX: “hardware stores”
3) Say “details” to get more info about the current listing.
4) You can say “text message” or press “9” to receive a text message with detailed info (when you are calling from a cell phone).
The text message feature came in very handy when I was on my way to a steakhouse in Downtown San Diego and didn’t know thier address. I simply said “92101 The strip club steakhouse” then “text message” and I was instanly sent a text with their phone number and address!
Anyway… Not much more to it! Its free, it’s easy and its way faster than looking something up on your phone when your not in front of a computer so give it a try!
