Samsung F500 phone supports DivX

Author: Julien  //  Category: Premium Gadgets and Cool Toys

The Samsung F500 “Ultra Video” is the “world’s first” handset with official DivX certification. The Samsung F500 (also know as the Samsung F500 Ultra Video or the SGH-F500) comes packed with tons of cool features for multimedia enthusiasts and will let you put all those DivX movies and TV shows onto your handset for portable handset viewing. Besides supporting DivX codec, the Samsung F500 also supports MPEG-4, H.264, WMV and AVI video formats. The Samsung F500 is the first phone to now support all the major video formats. The phone has a high resolution 2.4 inch screen that swivels to adjust the viewing angle (which also allows you to lay it on a flat surface and watch it without holding it in your hand). The F500 is dual faced with a screen and multimedia controls on one side, and a phone on the other. In addition it has a 2 Megapixel camera that even takes video. The phone comes with 400 megabytes of built in storage (way more than my Blackberry Pearl) and the F500 has a micro SD slot, allowing you to add an additional 2 gigs of storage space. As of right now the F500 is not going to be officially released in the US but I would look for it to show up on eBAY very soon! You can click here to try and Find the Samsung F500 on eBay!

Other features of the Samsung F500 are GSM/EDGE support on 900, 1800, and 1900MHz bands, and Bluetooth v1.2 w/ A2DP stereo headset. The F500 can play a variety of media files, including: MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC, and WMA audio. The F500 measures up at Read more…

Free 411 calls from Google

Author: Julien  //  Category: Premium Fun and Entertainment, Premium Gadgets and Cool Toys, Premium resources

I just wanted to share an awesome Google creation I just came accross… It’s Google 411 and it lets you call toll free from any phone to get local business listings. Previously I had been using traditional 411 or 1-800-SanDiego as a free 411 service but the new google 411 is 1000% better. Not only do you get your answers instantly with no advertisements, but it will also connect you for free (or even text message you the information for free)! Now you can find what you are looking for instantly! To try out Google’s new 411 service just dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411) from any phone.

Here are some tips for using Google 411:
1) When you are asked for city and state, you can say city and state or you can simply say (or type) the zip code.
2) When you are asked the business name or category you can say the specific name or be general. EX: “hardware stores”
3) Say “details” to get more info about the current listing.
4) You can say “text message” or press “9” to receive a text message with detailed info (when you are calling from a cell phone).
The text message feature came in very handy when I was on my way to a steakhouse in Downtown San Diego and didn’t know thier address. I simply said “92101 The strip club steakhouse” then “text message” and I was instanly sent a text with their phone number and address!
Anyway… Not much more to it! Its free, it’s easy and its way faster than looking something up on your phone when your not in front of a computer so give it a try!

Canon Pixma MP830 printer

Author: Julien  //  Category: Premium Gadgets and Cool Toys

If you’re in the market for an all-in-one print, scan, copy and fax device the Canon PIXMA MP830 looks pretty sweet! I’ve been doing some research on all in one printers and in terms of price and performance the Pixma mp830 is my top pick. (detailed specs on the Pixma MP830 are below).

Canon Pixma 830
Perhaps best of all is the fact that the print cartridges are super inexpensive. One of my main criteria when looking for a printer is the cost of replacement ink cartridges. As we all know ink jet cartridges often cost between $30 and $50 dollars. The Canon MP830 has an individual cartridge for each color (which saves you money by not tossing out unused ink) and best of all you can find generic replacement ink cartridges for about $2 dollars each!

(Don’t believe me? Check it out: MP830 Ink)

IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER: Always look to see that the printer you are going to buy has cheap ink cartridges available online. Some companies (Ex: Dell) do not have generic cartridges so you have no choice but to purchase the OEM product for $30+ dollars a cartridge…

Anyway, back to the The Canon Pixima 830. If you shop around you will see that it has a retail price of about $300 dollars but I did some digging and found them for $232.99 on with free shipping!

The Pearl is a sleek smartphone with all the features and a Qwerty keyboard. The RIM BlackBerry Pearl is reportedly thinner and lighter than a Motorola Razor and it packs in way more features. The Blackberry Pearl is the first BlackBerry to offer a 1.3-megapixel camera, music and video playback, expandable memory (SD Micro slot), and a mapping application, push e-mail capabilities, mobile interent, EDGE support, and Bluetooth. 250cc Shifter karts (go cart on steroids)

Author: Julien  //  Category: Premium Automotive, Premium Gadgets and Cool Toys, Premium Sports

250cc Shifter Kart specs and info: Don’t be fooled… at first glance these little monsters might bear some resemblance to the 5hp go-cart you had growing up but the similarities stop there. These 250cc shifter karts can hit 60mph in 3 seconds flat and whip around a full size race track at speeds in excess of 125 mph. In fact, these 250cc Shifter carts have been clocked at the old A1 ring in Austria going over 180mph! Also… don’t worry about slowing down much in the corners because these shifter karts can hold 3.0 lateral g’s of cornering and braking force!

250cc Shifter kart
If your looking for an insane adrenalin rush but don’t quite have the cash for that Formula 1 racecar you always wanted than you might think about getting into Kart Racing. Shifter carts have a power to weight ratio close to an F1 and the closest thing to getting behind the wheel of a formula 1 race car. In fact… 250 Karting has been the starting point of a few of the current Formula 1 drivers racing careers. To get a sense of just how fast these 250cc shifter karts are watch the video below! worlds most expensive cell phone

Author: Julien  //  Category: Premium Gadgets and Cool Toys, Premium Gifts

I just came across the JG Design “Black Diamond” cell phone available from “Vioce Internet Phone Network” and I’m pretty confident that it is the worlds most expensive cell phone (at least I hope its the worlds most expensive phone) :). I thought that paying close to $500 for a Treo 700 was expensive but how about paying $300,000 for the “Black Diamond” luxury smart phone!

300k dollar black diamond phone
Wait… I know what your thinking… “$300,000 is a lot of money for a cell phone.” However, before you rush to judgment let me explain. The “Black Diamond” has a mirror-finished polycarbonate casing that is studded with diamonds. The phone also has a 4-megapixel camera and an ultra-sleek design. It has quad-band GSM/GPRS with built-in Wi-Fi, SIP support, and runs Windows Mobile 5.0 on a 400 MHz Intel XScale processor. The Black Diamond smartphone also has 128mb SD ram and a 2GB SD card (gotta figure the SD card alone is worth at least $50,000 right there)!

300k dollar phone
For those of you who just can’t wait till this phone hits the shelves in early 2007 I would suggest you check out the Black Diamond website and give them a call. Who knows… maybe if you offer to sign a two year agreement they’ll hook you up with a $50 mail-in rebate!
