The Hennessey Dodge Viper Venom 1000 claimed the title of ?world?s fastest and most powerful limited-edition street car?. The ?Hennessy Venom 1000? makes 1000 horsepower (to the wheels) at 5000 rpm and 1100 lb-ft torque at 3800 rpm! So? just how quick is it? Well Hennessey claims that on ?ET Street? tires the car can do 0-60 in 2.25 seconds, does the quarter mile in under 10 seconds, and has a top speed of 255 mph! I found a video of a Hennessey Viper Venom competing in Motor Trend’s “Worlds fastest limited edition street car” This unbelievable acceleration was the main factor that let the Hennessey Venom 1000 win Road & Track’s Standing Mile contest at 25.6 seconds, .3 seconds faster than the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Hennessey, they modify Dodge and GM cars to make them as extreme as possible. Take the Hennessey Viper Venom 1000 for example. They take the base model 500 hp Viper, completely reworks the engine, and add two ball bearing Garrett twin turbos to make The Venom 1000 one of the only road-legal cars that can now challenge the $1,300,000 Bugatti Veyron.
To match the ferocious nature of the Venom 1000 engine, a variety of options are also available. These include a fully adjustable suspension ($4250), Light-weight Rotors ($4500), Connolly Leather ($6500) Front Dam with Rear Diffuser & Spoiler ($9500) and a range of wheels. The fully tuned Venom 1000 should cost about $180,000 dollars (far less expensive than similar cars boasting similar performance figures).
For 2006, Hennessey will debut the Venom 1000 Twin Turbo SRT Coupe . Only 24 examples will be built at a price of $225,000 USD, each with a top speed of 255 mph!

I have one of the only 24 (actually 27 made), it has 0 miles on it and will be put in a showeroom. and i will never know if it actually cranks

In response to this car the best part about it is that the power and speed has the price to match for a limited edtion piece of wicked balls out fun and the average joe can get one which means its on my list

Someone told me the Ferrari Enzo was faster than the Hennessy Viper, i laughed and looked on the internet and theese are the facts i came up w/

What an idea putting the veryon’s sick power into a lighter and meaner looking car, who’s name has been around for a lot longer!!!! question is does it have the quad turbo like the veryon?? (just out of curosity!! i mean its got 1000 horses!! ill def be lookin that up!!) bodys even sicker than normal vipers…but ofcourse it’s nothing like all the rest!! def with the rest of u folks…creamin my pants baby!!!!!!!

man i love this car, i already love the original viper, but the hennesey viper is the best, because 255, wow that is amazing. i also have this as the screen saver on my lab top.

If someone is getting one of the hennesey vipers and is not going to let it roar is a friggen puss, this car is meant to be full throttle the only thing that would make this better is if monster energy had some graphics on it.
