Wow… a portable beer pong table that inflates and floats in the pool! This has to be one of the best inventions ever. The only thing I don?t like about it is that I didn’t think of this myself. (Evan after all those years of beer pong and pool parties the thought never crossed my mind). I must say, a floating beer pong table is a must have all those who enjoy the sport of Beirut. For those that are unfortunate enough to have never played beer pong (AKA Beirut) you can click here to get caught up: beerpong crash course.
I think that one of the greatest thing about having an inflatable beer pong table is that you can take it anywhere and it cleans up easy! No more having to buy expensive ping pong tables just to have them warped and beer soaked within a matter of months. No more having to make frantic runs to Home Depot to buy a sheet of plywood for your party. But perhaps best of all… if you play in the pool you can have uninterrupted beerpong tournaments without having to stop for bathroom breaks!!!!!

It’s a base jumpers dream come true! The Burj Dubai which literally means “Dubai Tower” in Arabic is well on its way to becoming the worlds tallest building. In fact it is estimated that once complete, the Burj Dubai will be 2,684 feet which will easily make it the tallest land-based structure to have ever been built (at over a half mile tall)!!!
The Burj Dubai skyscraper is the centerpiece of a new development under construction in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). The project was started in 2004 and with the help of 5,000 workers going around the clock (24 hours a day) this amazing building is scheduled for completion in late 2008! Even more amazing is that with this many workers, the Burj Dubai is being constructed at a rate of 1 floor every 3 days!!!! As of August 12th 2007 the Burj Dubai was 145 stories tall and stood at about 1,743 feet. Just to put that into perspective, the Sears Tower measures 1,729 feet at the very tip of its antenna.
Once complete, the Burj Dubai will be the world?s tallest man-made structure and the tallest building by any measure. The Burj is the centerpiece of a master planned development called ‘Downtown Dubai.’ The total budget for the Burj Dubai skyscraper project is about $4 billion US dollars and for the entire new ‘Downtown Dubai’ the budget is $20 billion US Dollars.
Within the Burj Dubai there will be a Giorgio Armani Hotel that will occupy the first 37 floors, numerous restaurants and 65 floors of private condos. (If you are thinking that this might be a good investment well you were probably right… because according to the developer all the residences sold within 8 hours of going on sale). Corporate offices and suites will fill most of the remaining floors, except for a 123rd floor lobby and 124th floor indoor/outdoor observation deck. An outdoor zero-entry swimming pool will be located on the 78th floor of the tower along with 3 other pools.
Finally, the Burj Dubai will also feature the world’s fastest elevator, rising and falling at a speed of 40 mph! Currently the world’s fastest elevator in the Taipei 101 office tower only does 37.6
Here is a video that shows the progress of the Burj Dubai from when they broke ground to 2006:
So you thought you were stylin in your $50,000,000 G5 business jet? Well there?s a new bird in town and it?s called the 787 V.I.P.
The 787 V.I.P. Boeing jet was recently introduced at the Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition in Dubai. The 787 VIP jet is scheduled to have its first test flight this month. Owners will be able to fly anywhere in the world non stop in ultimate luxury because the 787 VIP has a nautical range of almost 10,000 miles! Clients will be able to work with designers to mold the spacious cabin into a unique environment that exactly meets their tastes and needs. Regardless of if you are looking for a business office in the sky or a flying palace the possibilities are infinite, and depending on your exact setup, you can expect to have about 2,400 to 2,800 square feet of living space! (If you would rather think in terms of price per square foot it might be more easily justifiable at about $60,000/sq.ft.)
Boeing?s carbon-composite 787-8 model, which would seat up to 250 people (if configured as a commercial airliner) now has seven orders for private 787s or ?787 VIPs? as we like to call them. Boeing said It is pitching this ?mega-business jet? to wealthy entrepreneurs (and I emphasize WEALTHY) because the 787 VIP requires the type of buyer who can drop $153,000,000 on a jet! So who has this kind of money you ask? Well, Boeing recently announced that it received an order for a private 787 VIP airplane from Read more…
If the Rolls Royce Phantom just isnt flashy enough for you than maybe you should consider the flat black Phantom. This flat black Rolls Royce Phantom is the new project of MANSORY and as you can see, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea but it definatly stands out from the crowd (as if the Phantom didnt already stand out enough)!
First off you wil notice the flat black laquer paint job and the much softer chrome exterior accents. The interior has carbon fiber and bright maple wood inlays and an implemented ambiance-light-effects that give the Phantom an amazing glow. The interior also features an alcantara roof lining, alcantara dashboard and a sport steering wheel. In the back there there are new electrical business tables with seat integrated multimedia monitors and perhaps best of all is the suspended particle device glass which allows the passangers to continuously regulate the transparency (opacity) with a remote control (similar to what you find in the Maybach)!
Performance upgrades include a boost in horsepower and an increase in torque to 575 lb-ft @ 3920 rpm. The top speed is also increased to 168 mph. In addition they outfitted the Mansory Phantom with black forged 24inch wheels and huge 6 piston Brembo brakes.
For more specs and a closer look at the Flat black Masory Rolls Royce Phantom check out this video (unfortunately the only version I could find was in German):
A funny video that my buddy Bobby just sent to me. This is a compilation of all the Terry Tate commercials from 6 or 7 years ago. “Terry Tate Office Linebacker” was a commercial series that Reebok created in which Terry Tate (played by Lester Speight) an NFL linebacker is employed at a corporate office. I believe this originally aired as a Super Bowl XXXVII commercial. If you aren’t familiar with Terry Tate – Office Linebacker, all you need to know is that Terry’s job is to keep the office staff in line, and as you will see, he “gives out the pain” to those who are not obeying the rules. Funny stuff!
I Just came across a free program called Plaxio that quickly and easily allows you to sync your calandar and contact information. You can sync with google, yahoo, Outlook…. and updates appear on all of your sites instantaneously! Just make a chance in one place and it will automatically show up in all your other calandars without having to use cables, cradles sync programs… and best of all it free! Apparently there are about 15,000,000 people who have already signed up so I guess this is not exactly exciting cutting edge news, but its new to me and hopefully you’ll find it useful too! Here is a video that briefly describes some of features of Plaxio:
What’s faster than a Mercedes SLR? How about an SLK with an SLR motor! Dubai car collector Mohammed Ben Sulayem commissioned this project which crams a Mercedes SLR engine into the smallest Mercedes sports car they make. Besides the fact that they had to cut away part of the SLK’s hood, the car looks like a completely stock SLK AMG 55 but the result is a crazy fast SLK-SLR that is capable of dusting a Ferrari Enzo! Even cooler is that they did the same thing with a Mercedes E-class. The E-class pictured below also has an SLR motor installed. Talk about the ultimate “sleeper!” Maybe next they’ll put an SLR motor in a new Mercedes S65 AMG just so they can shave off a few pounds and get another 10 or 20 horsepower.
A few weeks ago Microsoft announced a pretty amazing new product called “Microsoft Surface” technology. Microsoft surface is a touch screen table that basically turns your coffee table into an interactive computer monitor. The touch screen table allows multiple users to interact with their hands to flip through pages, move and resize images, draw, navigate maps… and it also interacts with objects that you place on the table. (As an example, you could place your camera down on the table and the images on your device will spill out onto the table were you can edit and resize them). I could go on and on about how amazing this is but the video does a much better job so take a look.
If you haven’t seen this yet, take a look. Its crazy!
Best of all, Microsoft has announces that these touch screen tables will be available by the end of 2007. At $5,000 to $10,000 a pop they are still too expensive for home use but we can expect to start seeing them in select Casinos and Restaurants within a few months!
