If you recently started shopping for a car in the $1,500,000 range than you?re just a tad too late because all of the new Lamborghini Reventon’s have already been spoken for. (I guess your going to have to settle for one of those “dime a dozen” Ferrari Enzos or Bugatti Veyrons)
The Lamborghini was revealed at the Frankfurt auto show in Geneva not long ago. Lamborghini will be producing only 20 of these supercars and they were exclusively offered to “friends and collectors” at a price of $1.4 to $1.6 million dollars.
So what makes this supercar so special? Well, the Reventon was inspired by the F-22 Raptor fighter jet and the exterior is made entirely of carbon fiber laid over a carbon fiber and steel frame. The Lamborghini Reventon shares much in common with the LP640 and makes just slightly more horsepower (650hp to be exact). The interior however has been completely reworked and the Reventon’s instrument panel, (modeled after that in a modern jet), is comprised of three customizable liquid crystal displays that displays all your instruments, including a G-force display that shows longitudinal forces in a 3-dimensional image.
“Our designers at the Lamborghini Style Centre took the technical base of the Murci?lago LP640 and Read more…
Pure and simple… but simply insane! The Ariel Atom is a true enthusiast’s racecar. Ariel is designed by Ariel Motor Company of Great Britain and although it only costs between $40,000 and $75,000 it will give you the performance you would expect from a $1,000,000 super exotic sports car. So… if you are a true racing enthusiast and you don’t have $1,000,000 to blo on a supercar but you can afford more than a 250cc shifter cart than you might look into getting an Ariel Atom.
No AC, no stereo, no leather seats, and best of all, no unnecessary weight! In fact, the Ariel Atom has a power to weight ratio that rivals most super cars. Take for example the McLaren F1 supercar that has a power to weight ratio of 4.01 to 1, the Bugatti Veyron which has a power to weight ratio or 4.35 to 1, and the Ferrari Enzo which has a power to weight ratio of .56 to 1. Compare that to the Arial atom which has a power to weight ratio of 4.10 to 1! This beautifully simple (and affordable yet rare) racecar is capable of 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds (that’s 1 full second faster than the Porsche Carrera GT, and .7 seconds faster than the Ferrari Enzo!
So… we know its fast, but how does it handle? Well, in one word “perfectly.” In fact if you watch the video below you will see just how amazing the Ariel Atom handles on the racetrack. In fact, even when matched up against a street bike the Ariel Atom posts better lap times.
Perhaps my favorite thing about the Ariel Atom is that you can buy it as a kit car for under $40,000, build it yourself and even make it street legal! Better yet the Ariel is powered by a reliable and fuel efficient supercharged Civic Type R motor.

For those looking for the ultimate super car… 2 words: Ferrari Enzo
The Ferrari Enzo is Ferrari’s million dollar flagship supercar. The Enzo was actually named after the company founder: “Mr. Enzo Ferrari”. Enzo always felt that the design of road cars should stem from racers. Therefore, it was entirely logical that the company’s latest creation should bear his name. The Enzo was built in a limited run of only 399 cars. It is an outstanding expression of the concept of extreme sportiness, developed for road use, yet epitomizing the most advanced concepts of Formula 1 racing technology.
The Enzo Ferrari has a V12 Engine that produces 660 horsepower and redlines at Read more…

The mercedes Mclaren SLR may not look super exotic (with the exception of the goldwing doors) but don’t be fooled.
